BYC is more than sailing…

The BYC Social Program contributes to increasing member satisfaction, attracting new members, building club and community spirit and making the club a great place to come all year round. The program provides a mix of activities and events that allow members to socialize with other members, friends and prospective members and provides an excellent way to get to know people at the club.

Families, couples, single adults, youth and children all find a warm welcoming environment with plenty to do at BYC. We provide events and activities for members of all ages.  For kids and youth we offer a family Christmas party, youth dances and other events at the junior clubhouse. For adults, friends and guests, we offer the New Year’s Eve Gala, sommelier-led dinners and dinner-dances including St. Paddy’s Day and Oktoberfest as well as an annual golf tournament. For families and people of all ages we offer brunches and dinners to celebrate special occasions such as Robbie Burns, Valentines, Easter, Mother’s and Fathers Days, etc.

BYC is also a great place for informal socializing in the Dragon Lounge, under the marquee or elsewhere on the beautiful grounds bordering the Ottawa River. Members and friends can enjoy movie nights in the off-season and Friday Night Entertainment throughout sailing season (May to October). Kids have their own facilities for sports, parties or just hanging out.
