There are 45 kilometres of scenic cruising waters of the Ottawa River directly accessible from Britannia Yacht Club, and a number of sheltered overnight anchorages of which those at Pinhey's Point, Constance Bay, Mohr Island, Quyon and Pontiac Bay are the favourites. A very popular cruiising destination is the Club's private camping and picnic area at Baskin's Beach. Purchased in 1947 and dedicated to the memory of Club members who fought and died in World War II, the property is held in trust for the members of BYC by the Britannia Boating Club Memorial Park Association. It is used both for Club-sponsored barbeques and parties and members' private camping and picnicking.

The highlight of BYC's official cruising year is our annual Cruise Week. This is a week of sailing, social activities, games and camaraderie for adults and children alike at various places along the river. The only rule is you must have fun.
