About BYC

Britannia Yacht Club is situated on 13 acres at the head of Lac Deschênes in the west end of Ottawa. The residential area surrounding the club is called Britannia Village. A safe and secure neighbourhood, many Club Members make their home in the Village. As well, the City of Ottawa Police Service patrols the area, especially during major regattas held at the Club.

Club facilities

The Main Clubhouse is a two-storey building with a lower lounge appropriately named the Dragon Lounge, because of the 30' - Dragon Class racing sloop of which the bar is made of. The main floor also holds a boardroom, a billiards room, washroom facilities with lockers and administrative offices. The second floor, called the Upper Deck, has a large banquet/dance room, a kitchen, men’s and ladies’ washroom, a dining room appropriately called the Sunset Room, because of its west facing location and great vantage point to enjoy the beautiful City of Ottawa sunsets.
